HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN
Job description
Talos Steel is a looking for a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Technician to join our team! The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems and components used in heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Hydraulics, Heavy Equipment Technician, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with hydraulic systems
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with heavy equipment, fabrication shop machinery, or industrial systems is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license (if required for field work)
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
- Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
- Install and commission new hydraulic components and systems
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
